About our Centre
Kidzland is set in a quiet street, amongst beautiful shady gum trees and loads of outdoor space to play in.
We care for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years including before and after school care and vacation care during school holidays.
Staff provide a comfortable home like environment and actively encourage the children to develop their social and language skills which in turn helps to build confidence and self esteem. We believe building friendships and learning to play and interact with others appropriately is very important.
We offer a school readiness program including skills such as caring for our own belongings, opening lunch packs and drinks etc and communication skills in addition to pre reading, writing, music and other skills required to help prepare the children for school.

Philosophy and Aims
Our Philosophy is strongly linked to Erik Eriksons theory of the The Psychosocial Stages 1-3 and our broad aims of the centre are to provide Quality Care and an Educational program within a warm, friendly, secure predictable environment.
We aim to provide a service which fulfills all of the children's basic needs.
Our Aim is to encourage the children's:
Confidence and curiosity
Happiness and honesty within themselves
Interest in the world around them
Love and security
Physical and mental development
Respect for themselves, others and the environment
Developing independence and identity
To develop in each child the knowledge and understanding that they are unique and individual, and that their special abilities, interests and backgrounds are a very important contribution to the community.

Age Groups and Rooms
Our Long day care children are divided into 2 Separate rooms
Koala room including our Possum (Nursery) room 6 weeks - 3 years old
There are a maximum number of 16 children in this room per day and is staffed by 3 trained staff.

There are a maximum of 20 children in this room staffed by 1 diploma and 1 Cert III trained staff.

Before and After School Care
Kidzland has been offering an OSHC program for many years.
We currently care for school children aged 5 - 12 years, and provide nutritious snacks on arrival at the centre daily.
We currently service 8 schools in the local area and transport the children to and from school in the mornings and afternoons.
Our school children enjoy being able to plan their own activities program including both indoor and outdoor activities such as art and craft, play stations, DvD's, computers, dancing and music, construction and Homework time. Outdoors they enjoy the opportunity to choose and implement their own games while closely supervised and advised by staff, as well as having the choice to use the wide variety of equipment available to them.

Vacation Care
We offer a vacation care program that once again is heavily influenced by the children. Staff request ideas from the children as to where they would like to go and what activities they would like to do. After all it is there holiday - they should enjoy it.
Usually Vacation care activities include activities such as:- movie days, ten pin bowling, bingo, park days, Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Olympic Park, farm and animal parks, snake and bug incursions, craft activities, library visits and other fun interesting venues.
